What are the components of bachata, and punta music?
rhythm, beat, particular instrument, tempo………. I could create a country song, or a rap song if I had to, but I just can’t figure out what makes these forms of music what they are. What is the make up of these two forms of music?

Bachata, a form of music and dance that originated in the countryside and the rural neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic. Its subjects are often romantic; especially prevalent are tales of heartbreak and sadness. In fact, the original term used to name the genre was amargue ("bitterness," or "bitter music"), until the rather ambiguous (and mood-neutral) term bachata became popular. It has been compared to the blues.
punta is a type of music found primarily in Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Nicaragua.
According to certain scholars[citation needed], punta is the contemporary electronic offshoot of an ancestral rhythm and dance of the Garifuna people of Central America, performed during celebrations or festive occasions, with links to West Africa and an ancient rhythm called Bunda, or "buttocks" in the Mandé language.
Today punta musicians in Central America, the US, and elsewhere have made further advances with the introduction of the piano, woodwind, brass and string instruments.
