This is a free style demonstration of Bachata Moderna by Juan Ruiz and Samantha Cilia, from Bachateros.

Bachata Moderna is based on the bachata traditional steps, but incorporate the concept of the crosses (cross on1, on2, on3, and more). On the freestyle you can see tricky combinations as well as body movement and close connection of the bachata traditional.

The only thing that was rehearsed was the “Magic Yo Yo” move (when Juan moves Samantha by hand waves only), everything else was just in the moment!
